2020 Electric Mobility Standardization Roadmap

The objective of the German 2020 Electric Mobility Standardization Roadmap is to illustrate and address the concrete status and need for action in standardization and certification to further develop electromobility.

Roland Bent, Chair of the DKE Steering Committee, has already highlighted the importance of standardization for electromobility: “The users want customer-friendly access to the next charging station with a simple payment system. This requires standardized charging interfaces as well as transparent and non-discriminatory billing models. This can only be achieved with uniform standards. They provide for investment security, for instance, for manufacturers, energy providers or charging station operators.”
