The DKE has a long term cooperation relation with the Standardization Administration of China (SAC) and several other Chinese standardization bodies.

Since 2008, the Sino-German Standardization Cooperation Commission was instituted to provide a policy framework for the ever increasing bilateral activities. Aiming for common international standards, China and Germany have jointly made substantial amount of contribution in the fields of E-mobility, Smart Energy, Smart Cities and Industry 4.0 etc. Driven by evolving demands from German industry, the DKE and its partners in China exchange timely on standardization development needs whilst enforcing shared values at the international level. In spite of the disparities between China’s and Germany’s standardization systems, both countries’ standardization organizations aspire for a coherent and inclusive international standardization environment to create innumerable benefits for their stakeholders.

Sino-German Standardization Cooperation Commission meeting 2016

26th May 2016: The 2016 Sino-German Standardization Commission meeting took place in the historical city Leipzig. In the field of electro-technology, stakeholders from both countries show particular interests in cooperation on Smart Home and AAL. Additionally, SAC updated the Commission on the current status of standardization reform in China, which is intending for a lean and transparent structure.
Prior to the Commission meeting, 2 Sub-Working Groups on E-mobility and Industry 4.0 standardization held their respective workshops and concluded new action points for 2016/17.
BMWi, DIN, DKE, ZVEI, VDMA and Siemens among many, participated in this meeting.
